Coping with the War

Posted: May 17, 2011 in Off the mats..

For those of you who don’t know I spent about seven years serving in the Marine Corps.  I now have the pleasure of serving in our nation’s Navy.  My wife Trish served in the Army as a Medic and was stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C.  The service of our nation is ingrained into our marriage and our lives.  I can not say enough good things about the men and women who serve our country.

Here’s the Jiu Jitsu tie-in:  Walter Reed is teaching soldiers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to cope with stress and regain strength and dexterity.  Amazing.
